Description du cours : This course aims to improve reading skills by providing extensive practice in a range of text types, including both fiction and non-fiction. Students will engage with a variety of authentic texts (short stories, news articles, journal pieces) in order to get accustomed to written English of different styles and levels of formality. Students will learn to read strategically and effectively; they will also be supplied with background information and engage in pre and post reading activities. Where appropriate, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and punctuation will be addressed. At the end of the course, students will be better able to engage in independent reading for information and pleasure.
